I learned too late that Keali’i Reichel was Regis and Kathie Lee’s guest today. Does anyone know who may be performing tomorrow, Thursday or Friday? Please email me if you have any info. We already know that Hapa will be Wednesday’s special guest.

I’ve been working on a site for Sudden Rush that’s been coming along nicely, got some Real Audio samples up. Don Kawa’auhau is a Hawaiian language immersion teacher here in Hilo and their manager Kwai-Chang Publico also runs several programs for youth here. As they say, “Like us or don’t like us, it doesn’t matter. We’re still here.” And making a difference for the youth of East Hawai’i. Thanks, guys.

Emerald House

I’ve been grooving on Kelly Villaverde’s new release, Emerald House for the past couple of days, and really enjoying it. Great vocals, production, and all original material!

Highlights for me are the first two tracks, Miracle (Out Of The Blue) and Still Yours, written by Kelly and previously recorded by Na Leo Pilimehana. Its “Not Quite Hawaiian”, but well produced contemporary music by a local artist. Check it out!
