• Award-winning musicians take stage | HonoluluAdvertiser.com – The two-night Kaua'i Music Festival, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort, will assemble artists who will share a rainbow of musical styles, from ki ho'alu to pop. A contingent of Mainland acts are part of the line-up.

• YouTube -Ke Aloha Kalikimaka – I never heard that the Kamehameha Schools Hawaiian Ensemble performed and performed hula to "Ke Aloha Kalikimaka" during their winter concert last year. They did a beautiful job, and live string ensemble, too!

• Leslie Wilcox Blogs: Roy Sakuma – Leslie Wilcox interviews Roy Sakuma at 7:30 on LONG STORY SHORT on PBS Hawaii. The show repeats at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. It's the first part of a two-part conversation.
• Kumukahi brings music of royals to Atherton | HonoluluAdvertiser.com | The Honolulu Advertiser – Ku'uipo Kumukahi, Na Höku Hanohano Award-winning songstress, will perform music from her 2008 album of the year winner, "Na Lani 'Eha" at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Atherton Performing Arts Studio at Hawaii Public Radio.

• Kanye West recording in Hawaii – I was iChatting with Gaylord Holomalia the other night and he mentioned he had Kanye in the studio. I didn't say anything to anyone else as I though it was a secret. I didn't blab it – Kanye did!
